Seven Sins – Finished !

Wow ! It's been a long and busy day. I have shot and retouched a few last pictures and designed the book layout with inDesign. By lack of time, I had to abandon some ideas I had initially planned, but overall I'm satisfied with the finished book. In the next few days, I will work on the french version of the book and will have it proofed and printed by a POD company (not sure which one yet).

I want to thank again my lovely models who have been so enthusiastic in front of my camera, who offered so many great expressions and put all their energy and talent into this project.

@2nib : Merci gars ! Après avoir vu le résultat, Delphine a bloqué les touches de son clavier en tentant de pousser des cris et grognements étranges par email. Marion, Flo et Lucas ont aussi « kiffféééé grave » apparemment

Yeah yeah ! Bravo for the amazing boulot. Je suis très fier d’en avoir fait partie ! A quand une série sur les 7 samurais, ou encore les 72 vierges du Coran ? Ca pourrait donner pas mal. Surtout avec des mannequins aussi doués ! (mouahaha).
Oui bonne idée, je te vois bien dans le rôle d’une jeune vierge effarouchée
T’as vu, le hasard fait bien les choses : le logiciel t’a affecté automatiquement un avatar tout vert !
Oh, this book of yours is really something extra, so well done graphically and photography-wise it hurts. I feel envy, here.
You have put together wonderful scenes and your models really connected with you, it shows you all had a great time with lots of laughs. Page 50-52 are so good, what expressions! I can come up with numerous other pages I liked, its impossible to comment on shortly. Page 32 was funny too, with one foot among all hands. Lots of details in general, a book you can come back to several times. Extraordinary well done! Congratulations!

It’s really pleasing to read that some people liked my book effort and can appreciate the humour in some of the pictures, despite our cultural differences. I’m glad to see that you watched my pictures long enough to notice those « un-noticeable » details we had so much fun adding to some images. And yes it helps to have a friendly relationship with one’s models, so they can give the best of themselves.
Excellent travail. On regarde, on revient, on se délecte de certaines poses et situations décalées (Delph avec son ours en peluche et ses couettes… trop top!)…
A la fin de cette plongée dans cet inconscient polpulaire des 7 péchés capitaux, on peut aussi pas mal délirer sur la signification du péché, de l’interdit ou du tabou à notre époque. Il serait intéressant de poursuivre le travail pour s’interroger sur les nouveaux péchés capitaux de notre société…

Heureux que ces photos t’aient plongé dans une profonde réflexion socio-philosophique sur les moeurs et valeurs de notre époque décadente. Si tu as des éléments de réponse quant aux interrogations sur les nouveaux péchés de notre société, n’hésite pas à m’en parler à l’occasion, je pourrais envisager un tome 2 : « Le retour de la vengeance des 7 péchés » !
Ah et au fait, l’ours en peluche que tient Delph… c’est un gorille
