Je me suis enfin décidé à franchir le pas : de simple explorateur de la blogosphère, je me transforme à mon tour en créateur de contenu. L’idée m’avait effleuré l’esprit fin 2007 pour documenter mon voyage en Inde, mais faute de temps, ce projet était resté dans les cartons. Je vais donc tenter de nouveau l’expérience en commençant par un carnet de voyage à Hong Kong début Mai, puis en documentant l’avancement de mon projet SoFoBoMo que je devrais débuter vers fin Mai.
Au-delà des questions techniques concernant la gestion du blog, un dilemme se pose : français ou anglais ? Etant ma langue maternelle, le français semble être le choix naturel, mais la blogosphère étant à 80% dans langue de Shakespeare, l’anglais semble être le choix qui s’impose pour atteindre un plus large public. En attendant de me décider, je vais utiliser le français pour la grande majorité des articles, et l’anglais pour les articles concernant mon projet SoFoBoMo dont le public cible est par essence international.

I finally decided to take a step forward : being a lurker in the blogosphere until now, it’s my turn to become a content creator. The idea crossed my mind at the end of 2007 to document my trip to India, but due to time constraints, this project never started. So I will try again, starting with a Hong Kong travelogue in early May, then documenting the progress of my SoFoBoMo project that I should launch by the end of May.
Beyond the technical issues concerning the management of the blog, a dilemma arises : french or english? Being my mother language, french seems to be the most natural choice, but the blogosphere being 80% in the language of Shakespeare, english seems to be the obvious choice to reach a wider audience. Until I make a decision, I will use french for most articles, and english for articles about my SoFoBoMo project whose target audience is essentially international.
